National Car Rental

No one at the desk when leaving the car at 11am on a week day so I am instructed to put the keys in a drop box. I take pictures of the car when I drop it off as I feel uneasy just dropping the car. A week later, there is an additional 180€ Charge on my account, no explanation. When I contact them they said there was damage to the car, which I am certain this was not there when I left it. I am sent pictures of a small scuff on a car (cannot even tell if it’s the same car) and when I send them my pictures of the car they say they are ‘inconclusive’. Lesson learnt, never drop a car off when there is no one there to check it in, they can just charge your account and rip you off ....

Terrible experience. I booked the car online for one week at £187. On arrival I was charged that cost and an additional holding deposit of £212. So far so good. While I was away they charged me an additional £212, I presume a mistakenly charging the holding deposit twice. When dropping the car off there was no one at the desk so I included a note asking them to remove the second holding deposit along with the first. They did this. Then today, a week after returning, they have charged me £191 with no explanation. Impossible to get hold of anyone to understand why or what’s going on.
